It’s funny, it seems only the other day I decided to update my website, and put “coming soon” as a place marker for the work I planned to do.. that was 2025.. next thing I know it’s January 2026, and my website still said “coming soon”..
How soon is soon, I asked myself.
2025 was such a strange year in retrospect, and I cannot help but think 2026 is shaping up to be even stranger.
I spent the last several years consulting with people who needed my “expertise” in data analysis & trend determination, on speculation of assets, stocks, and A.I / Tech.development, and looking over those last 4 years, man.. what a ride.
I never imagined seeing such crazy events, and such bizarre moments of “wait what? how!”.
Obviously for the sake of privacy and client confidentiality I can’t go into explicit details, all I can say is, I understand now why people who work in finance & marketing go bald and get sick so easily.
For those who aren’t of the artistic disposition: yes, I am no longer active as a guitarist. In fact, I barely remember the last time I picked one up. As old age sets in, and the damage done to my nerves and muscles starts to show up, I cannot for the life of me find a reason to keep punishing my joints and ligaments when there is no demand for what I do anymore. Note I mention what I do: there are plenty of other musicians and guitarists with a crowd/fan base and I am extremely happy they are able to keep doing what they are. But sooner or later for most of us, we wake up and realize we are playing to an empty room.. albeit an empty digital version of said room in my case.
My focus mostly has been on trying to heal and get past the clouds brought onto me by covid, and for the most part I think this is “as good as it gets”. I had hoped for a much more vivid recovery of my mental blocks, but it seems they either are lost to me for good, or waiting for the right catalyst.
Anyway, looking ahead at 2026, What lies ahead for me & Zen-Tech? well, for the most part I finally have gotten Unity development underway, with an overhaul of my old Duduk Drone app for android, now on the Google Play store, and a simple but colorful “P2E” game for a blockchain project, although I’m not sure if that will ever see the light of day at this point, with the markets being the way they are.
2026 is a very critical year. A lot of projects and people failed to deliver what they said they would, financial markets are also at the point where collapse is more or less imminent and the ushering in of a 2008/covid-esque downward spiral is pretty much set in stone at this point. My guess would be around end of March leading into April, but who can tell these days.
For everyone struggling, know you are in my thoughts, and I hope despite my leanings towards the stones coming undone, that things don’t end that way and somehow things work out.
